Christmas Party

18 Nov

Our club Christmas Party is Saturday, December 6 @ 6pm at 733 SW Washington St., Peoria. Thank you Bryan and Tracey for hosting us again this year!  You MUST RSVP BY MONDAY DECEMBER 1 if you will be joining us to eatRSVP to me at captionwrite@gmail.com with the number of people coming, please. If you do not respond by December 1, you are welcome to come to the party; however, there will not be food available for you. Our meal is being catered by local chef Bernardo, and the cost is $20/pp.  Money will be collected at the party.  There will be chicken and beef tacos, pork tamales, cheese, lettuce, rice, beans, guac, salsa, and an assortment of cookies!  Ice and cups will be provided but you need to Bring Your Own Beverage.

The best place to park is on the corner of State and Washington.  Once parked, walk a half block south and you will see the location.  There will be a big blue IFT shield in the window.  Please do not park in the lot beside the building.  That is for residents of the building only.

We will also have our annual Christmas Gift Exchange!  It is the highlight of the year and the entertainment for the evening.  Bring a wrapped, unmarked gift to exchange. It can be new or used, useful or not, cheap, expensive, or worthless, Phun, Phunny, Phrivolous, or Phunky. Anything or nothing can become the most sought after and fought for gift of the year.  And please remember our December charity! We are collecting coloring books and crayons for the Children’s Hospital of Illinois, an affiliate of St. Jude.    We are also having an auction, so bring your wallet, checkbook, cash, or Venmo!  We did this last year at a Happy Hour, and it was quite the success.  The money we collect will be used for a charity TBD.  I have a box full of goodies from Margaritaville and they’ve gotta go!
And now for the finale!  I will be bringing the sign-up sheet for charities for 2026.  If you are unable to attend the party and have an organization that you would like CIPHC to donate to, please send me an email. And remember to keep collecting pop tops for the RMH!  Thanks everyone!
