Club Charity Director, Laurel Pollentier, shared these upcoming club charity opportunities.
On Saturday, March 26, we will be volunteering at the Hope Chest in Pekin (1106 Derby Street). We will be helping to sort, clean, and organize donations for the thrift store. You are encouraged to bring friends and family members to help, as well as donations if you like. They are especially in need of canned food, peanut butter, zip loc bags, totes w/lids, depends, diapers, tents, sleeping bags, and hotel size shampoo and soap. Please let me know if you can attend. If you cannot attend, please bring your donations to the March 2 Happy Hour.
On Tuesday, April 26, we will be volunteering at the Midwest Food Bank in Peoria (9005 Industrial Road) from 6-8 pm. We will be doing Tender Mercies Packaging. We need a minimum of 8 volunteers, so please bring friends or family along to help, as well as donations of non-perishable food items or cash. If you are unable to come, you can bring donations to the April 6 Happy Hour.
